We develop solutions for your projects: from the initial concept to the final design drawing, including risk assessment, CE marking, and technical documentation as needed. We work closely with you, especially on complex projects—and thanks to our broad software stack, we can easily meet your customers’ standards.

Design

The RK-tec design team uses SOLIDWORKS Premium, SOLIDCAM, CATIA V5, MDESIGN, MicroStation, and Safexpert. It provides layouts, bills of materials, assembly and individual part drawings, as well as risk assessments in accordance with EN ISO 12100 and CE-compliant documentation—even as a standalone design service without subsequent manufacturing.

Engineering Firm for External Contracts

Do you need design capabilities but not manufacturing? No problem: We also operate as a design-only firm—following your standards, using your file formats, and ensuring a seamless handoff to your downstream departments. If you do decide to have your parts manufactured later, our precision manufacturing facility is just one building over.

A comprehensive solution for mechanical design—including simulation, motion, and sustainability. SOLIDCAM connects the design process directly to our CNC manufacturing.

CATIA V5

Comprehensive 3D visualization of products and technical solutions—the standard for many automotive customers.

MDESIGN

Design and verification in accordance with standards: Shafts per DIN 743, bolted joints per VDI 2230, FKM strength verification.

MicroStation

Hall layouts and facility renderings using TriCAD or HLS.

Safexpert

TÜV-certified software for risk assessment and CE marking in accordance with the Machinery Directive and the Machinery Regulation.

FMEA

Failure Mode and Effects Analysis: Identify product defects as early as possible—during the design process, not on the production floor.

CE Marking and Risk Assessment

Using Safexpert, we create risk assessments in accordance with EN ISO 12100, select performance levels and SIL—including the SISTEMA interface—and guide you safely through the Machinery Directive and the new Machinery Regulation—all the way to the operating instructions in accordance with EN 82079-1. This applies to our own systems as well as to machines that you build yourself.

Documentation in all common formats

SOLIDWORKS (SLDPRT, SLDASM, SLDDRW), CATIA (CATPart, CATProduct, CATDrawing), MicroStation (DGN), as well as STEP, IGES, DWG, DXF, and PDF.
