In early April, our new oil mist extraction system was put into operation at our contract manufacturing facility. The system extracts oil and emulsion mist generated during machining directly from the milling and turning machines. This ensures fresh air and a clean work environment at the workstations and protects the health of our employees.
The system’s technical features are impressive: the exhaust fan has a power output of 7.5 kW and extracts up to 6,800 m³ of air per hour. The supply air is preheated via a heat recovery system to minimize heat loss, especially in winter. The installed piping has a total length of approximately 80 meters and leads to four milling machines and one lathe. Now that’s how you get things done!
